Description

The LeFiell 1005 Series Drum Hoists picks up the animal, stops and holds it at any given point, then starts again from that point to complete the hoisting or lowering cycle. This versatile unit can also be used as a rumping hoist, bleeding rail hoist (in conjunction with automatic landing device, and as a power dropper. The outstanding advantage of this unit is ease of brake adjustment and quick servicing. Brake is out in the open where adjustment can be made quickly and easily from any angle. Unit is assembled so that standard motor reduction gears of brake can be replaced in minimum time– saving lost time in man-hours. Standard speeds are listed below, however the hoist is available at other speeds, as special ordered. The higher speeds are generally used in cattle slaughtering operations, the lower speeds for horse killing and dead animal operations. While this hoist is a distinct and separate piece of equipment when used as a rumping hoist or bleeding rail hoist, they are also used to operate the Automatic Landing Device no. 1005-15 and a s a power dropper when used with Dropper Hook and Assembly No. 1025-20

Smooth operation with drip-proof, standard ball-bearing motor; immediate stopping with independent solenoid-type brake which absorbs motor inertia; motor runs only when hoist is carrying load; positive action hoisting drum mounted directly to output shaft of gear box; self-locking worm-gear reducer fully enclosed in waterproof casing operates in permanent oil bath; brake adjustable from any side. Optional 30′ chain (any length available) with outlander sheave. Also optional magnetic reversing starter and watertight, push-button, pendant-type control station.

This versatile unit can also be used as Rumping Hoist, Bleeding Rail Hoist (in conjunction with automatic landing device), and as Power Dropper.

Outstanding advantage of Cone Drive unit is ease of brake adjustment and quick servicing in case of breakdown. Brake is out in the open where adjustment can be made quickly and easily from any angle. Unit is assembled so that standard motor, reduction gears or brake can be replaced in minimum time, saving lost time in man-hours.

These speedy, sturdy, compact hoists are rapidly replacing the friction and older types. The small amount of head room required for installation provides for building economy. Since the motor runs only while the hoist is carrying a load, it is extremely economical. The gear reduction which is an integral part of the motor runs in a bath of oil with balance of moving parts lubricated by convenient Zerk fittings; very little maintenance is required. The hoist has ball bearings and is mounted on an integral all-welded steel frame. All hoists are furnished with 30′ of 7/16′” load chain, outlander sheave, built in magnetic brake, limit switch and watertight pushbutton control station.

Standard speeds are listed below, however the hoist is available at other speeds, special as ordered. The higher speeds are generally used in cattle slaughtering operations, the lower speeds for horse killing and dead animal operations.
